Wedding at Columbia Ballroom

The music had started, piano and voice mixing in the cathedral ceiling, light streaming in through the stain glass window and the moms were being escorted down the isle. The mother of the groom and the mother of the bride were seated. The first bridesmaid and groomsmen made their way down the isle, all the way down the isle, when the church coordinator snapped her fingers to have them turn right back around. Whoops! Wrong entrance.

Laughter erupted from the pews, smiles spread across everyones’ face. Life is funny sometimes. It’s those moments, the unexpected real-life moments that make a day perfect. Perfection is not neat and tidy, it’s authentic and honest. And Alex’s and Erin’s wedding day was filled with perfect moments that represented them; full of life, laughter and love.

I have never laughed so much at a wedding. My belly literally hurt when the night was done from laughing so hard. From the beautiful letter and gifts, to the ceremony “mishaps,” the group photos, an ice cream stop, the best man’s speech and the live band, Alex and Erin’s day was perfect. Here are some snap shots from the day.

I am so thankful to have been a part of such a beautiful day and honored that Alex and Erin picked me to capture all their special moments. Days like this one help me remember why I love what I do. Art in the form of heirlooms, stories of love to last a lifetime. Happy One Week!
